HighPoint Energy Services is a third-generation energy company that caters to clients of all sizes operating in all geographic locations. We have over 27 years of experience in energy marketing, analysis, trading, and transportation. Our owner, Brad Sawyer, had a brief stint in the banking industry before following his legacy in the oil and gas industry.
Brad’s Career
Brad graduated from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas, with a bachelor’s degree in Economics and a minor in Geology. During the severe downturn in the Oil & Gas industry in the mid/late '80s, Brad had a brief stint in the Banking industry as a mortgage-backed securities trader and risk manager.
Knowledge & Skills
The trading skills and knowledge of the financial markets he acquired while in these roles enabled him to move back to Texas in the mid-'90s after the deregulation of the natural gas markets and apply those skills to the nascent natural gas market at a time when the energy marketing industry was still in its infancy.
His Prior Experience
Sawyer formed his own energy marketing companies in 1996 and 2002. Although initially focused on the Gulf Coast region, he quickly expanded his presence through the West, Mid-Continent, Mid-Atlantic, and Northeastern areas with a successful formula of building personal relationships and delivering unparalleled service and performance to his growing portfolio of clients.
